We drove through the northern mountains of Albania, on a brand new highway and sometimes we were the only vehicle in sight. The trip took about three and a half hours, thanks to a new tunnel.
Something you don't normally see on an American highway...
We got out of the vehicles to stretch after passing the border... you may think that is garbage from McDonalds, but it's actually the Balkan rip-off, Kolonat. They steal the color scheme, menu, etc., and change the name. The same with AFC... Albanian Fried Chicken. I kid you not.
